Software Engineer (DevOps)
IQ Inc. is a software consulting company that assists with life-changing technologies every day. We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer who is eager for their next big challenge! We need someone who can wrangle the build, test, and release pipeline for a next-gen robotic medical device.
The team will be looking to you to guide the evolution of DevOps within the group, encourage best practices, and be the owner of the build and release process.
  • Set up and maintain build servers.
  • Generate releases and release notes.
  • Produce and distribute test output reports.
  • Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the build and release pipeline.
  • Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure.
  • Automate and improve the development and release process where possible.
  • Measure application performance and environment health with application and system-level log tools.
  • Iterate on best practices to increase the quality and velocity of deployments
Must Haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least two years of relevant work experience
  • Experience working within a Linux environment
  • Experience automating tasks using a scripting language such as Bash, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and best practices
  • Deep understanding of at least one CI/CD tool (GoCD, Jenkins, CircleCI, TeamCity, Github Actions, Azure Pipelines, etc.)
  • Fluent in git
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Points:
  • Experience working on medical device development
  • DevOps experience targeting deployment to embedded Linux
