is currently seeking an Embedded Software Engineer
will write, modify, and debug embedded software for client applications. In this role
you will effectively interact with fellow engineers and customers
to gather inputs for producing appropriate software designs and implementations.
The software architecture is component-based, using modern C++
features.As a candidate for this position you have extensive experience using C++ within an embedded environment and enjoy working within a robotics atmosphere.
You understand the importance of working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and can develop clear and readable code.
Participation in team retrospectives to improve the software development process will be necessary in this role and the ability to troubleshoot problems with existing or newly-developed software is a must!
The following are "great-to-haves"!
- Creates unit, functional, and integration testing environments or components and root cause analyses (replicate, debug) for simple to moderately complex features
- Works on business-critical products that operate with high reliability and are distributed nationwide to many clients
- Experience with machine automation
- Experience developing software in a regulated industry, working with cross-functional engineering teams
- Experience with low-level embedded systems and “bare metal” coding
A Bachelor's Degree is a requirement for this role.
