Come help build the next generation of connected industrial hardware. We're seeking a hands-on Hardware Design Engineer who's energized by solving tough problems in rugged, heavy-duty environments. You'll own PCB design, work closely with microcontroller integration, and partner across disciplines to take products from initial concept all the way to production.

You'll get to work hands-on with embedded systems, CANBus, RTOS, wireless connectivity, and IoT technologies, helping deliver hardware that drives industrial automation forward.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop hardware solutions built to withstand rugged, industrial-grade conditions.
• Partner with firmware, mechanical, thermal, and optical engineering teams on next-gen product development.
• Implement communication protocols such as CANBus and SAE J1939, ensuring designs meet mechanical and thermal specs.
• Draft technical specs and proposals supporting cost-effective, scalable product design.
• Build proof-of-concept hardware prototypes and support DFMEA documentation.
• Create and run validation testing plans, including alpha/beta rounds and DVP&R stress testing.
• Refine designs for manufacturability and smooth integration into larger systems.
• Write technical documentation and internal white papers to support knowledge transfer.
• Keep design revisions and version control accurate throughout the project lifecycle.

What You Bring

• 3+ years in circuit and hardware design.
• Experience with Altium or comparable CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Practical background in embedded systems (RTOS or Linux) with coding skills in C, C++, or Python.
• Solid grasp of CANBus and SAE J1939 protocols.
• Exposure to GHz-range microprocessors and wireless tech such as Bluetooth and cellular.
• Comfortable operating lab test equipment, including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Working knowledge of PCB manufacturing and DFM principles.
• Understanding of device-to-cloud embedded system architecture.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Advanced degree or graduate coursework preferred.
